Account deletion

Delete your SarthiAI account

Two ways to permanently delete your account and associated data — from inside the app, or right here by email if you no longer have the app installed.

  • Applies toSarthiAI app accounts (Google Play and App Store)
  • Last updated15 August 2026

1Request deletion by email — no app needed

If you have uninstalled the app, or simply prefer not to open it, you can request deletion of your account and associated data by email:

  • Write to help@sarthiai.co.in with the subject line “Delete my account”.
  • Send the email from the email address your SarthiAI account is registered to — this is how we verify the request is really yours.
  • If you signed in with Google or Apple, that sign-in email is your registered address.

Once the sender address matches an account, we run the same automated deletion the in-app control triggers — there is no separate, slower path for email requests. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to confirm the request comes from the account holder, and we will never ask for your password or a one-time password; do not include them in any email.

For a child’s account, a parent or lawful guardian may request deletion from their own address, subject to the verification described in the Privacy Policy.

2Delete from inside the app

The fastest path. In the SarthiAI app, open Settings, choose Delete Account, and confirm. Deletion of your profile, learning history and associated personal data from active systems begins immediately via an automated destructive script.

One thing deletion does not do: cancel a paid subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Google Play or the App Store, not by SarthiAI, so cancel there first — otherwise the store may keep billing a plan attached to an account that no longer exists.

3What is deleted, and what is kept

On deletion, your account profile, learning-persona parameters, prompts and chat history, uploaded content and generated study material are deleted or irreversibly de‑identified from active systems.

A narrow set of records may be retained where the law requires it: payment and tax records, information needed for security and fraud prevention, and records tied to an unresolved dispute or legal obligation. Encrypted backups clear through the regular backup‑rotation cycle. The full retention schedule is Section 10.1 of the Privacy Policy at https://sarthiai.co.in/privacy.

4Delete data without closing the account

You can also ask us to delete specific data — for example uploaded documents or chat history — while keeping your account. Use the same email pathway described in Section 1 and say what you want removed. In-app controls also let you delete individual chats and uploads directly.
